My Girls Use Their Roost!

I am so proud of them! As they mature they seem to know what chickens should be doing! I can stop worrying! I went out at night to check on them and this is what I saw! Hopefully they'll give me some eggs soon. Night night girls.

Emma's Birthday Blanket

This year everyone gets a birthday blanket! Emma's first on the list!

I put pics of her and her family.
Look at that sweet face!
She got a new bike for her birthday, a big girl bike, bye bye trike!
Happy Birthday Honey!

All Cooped Up!

My coop is starting to look good! I can imagine the possibilities now! Barry worked hard on it and it is coming together nicely, the girls love it!
But after so many days of being cooped up in the rain, they were happy to flee the coop! So much water was a surprise to them, they didn't seem to like getting their feet wet!
But then they notice worms were abundant and readily available! Yummy!
I love these girls, really, they are so much fun to have. Thanks Barry!

Been Crafty Lately!

This was a repair job, I made it for Abby and their dog got it! So now it's as good as new! I love the colors and it's a cotton yarn.
My first completed knitting project! It's a baby blanket for one of my future grand kids!Justify Full I really enjoyed this project, but knitting is much slower going than crocheting.
And finally my Valentine's Day table topper. I really enjoyed doing some quilting and this was the perfect quick project, only took a few hours.
What's next??

Greedy!

So many wonderful books!
I feel kinda bad being so greedy!
I better get busy reading so I can get these back to the library!
p.s. my library system allows you to go online and reserve the books you want, then they let you know when they are available and ready for pick up. They hold them at the front desk in a nice big bundle! Check and see if yours has that for you, you'll love it! You can also renew up to 3 times online, love that!!

A Work In Process!

I love this hen house!
Even this one is cute!
This one is work in process! And it's not where we keep our homeless friends, it's my chicken coop! Barry is working on it and says it will get better all the time. What are the chances it's going to end up like my dream coop? Even better, I can see it from my kitchen window! More updates to follow, as they are made.

Abby had a dirt snack!
We worked a hungry Caterpillar puzzle and he is looking at a little inch worm we
found on a strawberry, right after this I forget it was there and smashed it!
We were all "crushed" by it.
Ethan and grandma and our puzzle that we put together,
he's great at putting them together!
Abby shares a strawberry with her daddy, they really tasted good!
Only in California can you get strawberries in the first of January!
The little inch worm.

We had a great time at the park today. We call it the train park and my kids enjoyed it too when they were little. It is a beautiful park and it was so nice to be outside and with the kids, thanks for inviting me!

I love watching them from my kitchen window!

We had a wonderful Christmas. We missed Brandon, Cheri and Saber William, who were celebrating with Cheri's family in Florida. They had a wonderful time too. We enjoyed Christmas dinner at Patti and Randy's house where we were serve a spectacular meal. It's so nice to spend holidays together and enjoy the special spirit of the season. Blessings to all and a Happy New Year to come, looking so forward to 2010 and all that it's sure to bring!
